On 20th Nov 2016, our honorable Director General Dr. Salem Al-Etani received Professor Reda Ammar a renowned Professor from University of Connecticut (UCONN), USA.
Professor Reda Ammar held his position as the Head of the Computer Science and Engineering Department for 15 years and has produced 300 journals and conference papers. One of his major accomplishments is contributing in a good number of initiatives of partnerships between UCONN and other universities world-wide. During the last five years, Professor Reda has worked as ABET accreditation consultant for a number of Saudi Universities. Currently, he is the Director of Global Engagement, UCONN.
Professor Reda presented a seminar titled “Sustainable Assessment Process in Engineering and Computing Disciplines”. He shared his valuable experiences on the following topics.
1) Rubric system in assessment
2) Developing performance indicators
3) Assessment methods
4) Reporting Assessment Process
5) Feedback for improvement
Professor Reda also shared his experiences in conducting and implementing international collaboration between UCONN and many universities especially in the middle-east.
The seminar was attended by MDs and DMDs, HoDs and faculty members who are in-charge of curriculum and accreditation.
