Dr. Kholod Ashgar the Assistant President for The National Qualifications Framework presented an awareness program about Saudi Arabia Qualification Framework (SAQF) on 3rd January 2017 at the Royal Commission Medical Center. Our Excellency Director General, Dr. Salem Al-Etani delivered his aspiring speech and officiated the program.
The SAQF is a unified system that raises the quality of national qualifications. It sets standards and procedures for the development and classification of qualifications based on learning outcomes for national and international recognitions. It is a national effort of integrating education, training and employment in a unified structure. SAQF goals are to:
Establish national standards for Awarding Bodies to safeguard the quality of qualifications designs.
Establish national standards for qualifications.
Facilitate flexible pathways, access, and progression opportunities between education, training and employment sectors.
Engagement with stakeholders to identify the need for developing new qualifications in the country.
Contribute to the Socio-Economic growth by identifying employability skills needed for the Saudi labor market.
The awareness program received an overwhelming applause by RCYCI Leaders Council members and Heads of Departments.
